Lovely. These are rare migrants to the UK from other parts of Europe. I grew up in a district of London called Camberwell so would love to see one of these some day.

I don't think I've ever met someone who grew up in that area! I lived in England for 12 years and always wondered why the species was named thus, as it's more a woodland creature and the greater London area didn't strike me as its type of habitat!

Apparently it was first recorded there in 1748, when it was much more rural and likely wooded. They get blown over from Scandinavia every so often. There's a great mural of one historicengland.org.uk/images-books...
