she's kind of right- terfs are in the process of protecting their beliefs under the equality act. the supreme court ruling this year was the first step to that, now stuff like the NHS Fife case would potentially make it protected
You'd think that anyone running for the leadership of the Green Party would have actually read that judgement, right?
The TL:DR for everyone else is that yes, of course political parties can discriminate on the basis of beliefs. Just make sure that you stick to your own processes and don't have one person who insists on trying to make things up as they go along.
