Back to writing full time after 2+month hiatus. (Being a caretaker full time absorbed all energy, like a black hole.) First day: change a MC's name, since it no longer sparked joy. Or anything else. At least it involved the keyboard.

I hear you... I once spent 6 weeks as a full-time caretaker for my ex when she got a very bad concussion. That requires you to constantly pay attention, doesn't it? 🙃 I ended up writing a (highly embellished) sci-fi short story based on that experience. 🌌

Pre catastrophic event, I had a chapter of incapacitated heroine outlined that I was supposed to write. Now it feels like I'll be cribbing from my friend's life. (Thanks for your resentful/instructive essay)
