American companies that make competing products will increase prices to match imports. It is their fiduciary duty to maximize profits.

US based companies will raise their prices because the government has given them the excuse to do it. Why wouldn't they. $$$

That and the cost of inputs for American products might be hit by tariffs. Also the US product might be inferior. But we are preaching to the choir here. Someone needs to tell the Fox/Newsmax crowd.
