How do you feel about "bagel and schmear" vs "bagel with/and A schmear"?

Not exactly a seasoned New Yorker, but I am a seasoned Jew. The phrasing is fine but what's really missing is the lox, which in my humble opinion is really needed to balance out the schmear. Pumpernickel bagel with scrambled eggs, schmear, and lox is the best bagel, fight me

if you zoom in you can see a bit of somethibg pink. Which is probably nova or other smoked salmon, but is getting called lox in this context.

Feel like it should be with a, also I'd quibble that there is too much cream cheese on that bagel to be a schmear.
