What about "exited"? Is that a call to remove these states from the Union? Funny, I thought the Union wanted to prevent the Confederate States' secession back in Civil War the guy is referring to. I could be wrong though, i'm not American, I know USA's history by cultural osmosis.

So basically we're all in agreement. While the OP may or may not be right or wrong in sentiment, they're kind of illiterate and should have stayed in school.
