I remember walking on the beach there as a kid and seeing oil on the beach. Someone told me it was from the rigs. 🙁
yes, they leak. There have been several oil spills over time, there were 2 oil spills at the same time in 2023 that really create a lot of problems. Now with the "drill, drill, drill baby" idiot, production is starting again. When I was growing up, I sometimes felt like I could smell the oil.
