This weekend I have been editing editing editing and my brain is a bit like jello, but I just have ONE more (fairly major) edit to sort out and then I’m DONE and will send this beast to my agent! Hoping to do that final bit this afternoon (once I’ve had a wee breather).
The remaining bit I need to fix is a pacing/tension issue at the 75% mark. I accidentally burst my own tension bubble with how I wrote a particular scene, then the next few scenes just kind of meander along. At this stage in the book, we really need pressure on our hero! So I need to fix this.
