Oh no, it was alive and well in the 80s. It was more specifically a bar scene back then, where you’d go to places known for that if it’s was what you were looking for, but it was a lively one.

didn't say there weren't *any* one night stands in the 80s; as far as a wider culture of nsa sex, that's much later 'so horny tonight, everybody else is getting laid and I should be too' is timeless (post birth control that is)
