I’ve been married for 13 years and I haven’t stopped fiddling with my ring. I’m afraid this is just your new burden to carry. Fingers are weird!!!

I've lost about a hundred pounds since I got married but my ring is tungsten carbide, so it can't be conventionally resized so now I have a plastic piece in there that I also have to worry about too!
9 years and same
I’m a year and a half in and while I adjusted to wearing it quickly I still futz with it every day.
added a spacer to mine so now it's like a fidget within a fidget
I have debated an Oura ring for the last few weeks and y'all just talked me out of it. (This is both a true and a sad post.)
Wore one for 14 years, took it off after Janie died and I STILL feel for it three years later It becomes part of you
Jokes on ME because mine slid off my finger without me realizing it. Two days in the yard with a rented metal detector and checking the grocery store “found items” box for a year and that sumbitch is GONE. Now I have a silicone one.
i just eat mine every morning and then retrieve it at night. safest option.
I wear mine on middle finger or pointer above the knuckle most of the time because I freak out it would get stuck on ring finger so it’s been in the (checks notes) radioactive waste (twice) because it came off with a disposable glove
your… fingers..?
yeah
You gotta be really regular and can’t eat out
I got a wooden one and now I just kinda keep it in my wallet when I need to have it around. It swells up with the weather, which I didn't properly take into account when getting it
It also spins nicely on the desk. Just make sure no floor vents are nearby.
Scratched it for the first time grabbing the hotel room door handle in my honeymoon. Will never forget that feeling. Bought a set of cheap silicone rings for yard work, beach, and camping - don’t regret that all
After 19 years of marriage I had to remove mine for surgery and wasn’t able to put it on afterwards. Four years later and there’s still an indentation in my ring finger.
Silicone wedding ring - life changer.
Married 20 years. I spun mine on the tray table & lost it on the plane for 4 hours on the way to the honeymoon. After a few years of it being lost more often than on my finger I just stopped wearing it.
I get the urge to take it off only when it is stuck. I give myself a year
The thing I remember thinking most often the week after I got married was that nobody tells you how much time you are going to spend cleaning pizza sauce off this very expensive chunk of metal
or that it requires extra hand washing time bc liquid soap loves to go under it
The only good advice I got about rings is that the funky new alt ones can't be recast due to change in finger size (per above). So I got white gold (which my toddler has hidden from me and refuses to say where)
Congrats on getting married! I take my ring off every time I golf. I hate the feeling of it rubbing/pinching against the grip. And I just had my 14th anniversary yesterday.
happy anniv!
Silicone ring only for golf and the gym
Mine made it through the honeymoon and has been safely back in its box ever since
Back when I was married, those latex/rubber wedding bands were GREAT! Not only are they a great fidget, but they are also way more comfortable on the hand than metal. If I ever get married again, I’m just gonna start with those and save the money (for me, anyway).
There's a reason so many people rock the silicone bands to workout and just traverse through life. Congratulations on the wedding!
I gave up on wearing mine all together after like 6 years
As a life-long knuckle cracker, one morning mine just refused to go back on over my increasingly mutilated joints.
I switched to a silicone ring (metal ring is a bit too snug) and I am constantly rolling it inside out and back while it’s on my finger. It’s also how I lost the last one because it tore and just disappeared.
I’ve…never had a problem with mine? And I wear it to golf and cook and work? Am I weird??
15 years and 50 pounds later, I need to have mine re-sized so I don't cut off circulation
ended up wearing mine on a chain for this very reason
15 years. I like to have mine pretty lose. Constantly taking it off and spinning it on a table or something
11 years and we’ve both given up on rings. Last one I had was a colorful silicone band that I wore until it broke
I've been a silicone guy for probably ten years now and it is so nice to not have to worry about losing rings anymore.
I’m on ring #2. Ring #1 slipped off my finger in 2021 into, presumably, my mother-in-law’s trash can
I first ring sank to the bottom of the Pacific Ocean while cave diving off the Marietta Islands. 72 hours after I got it. 😬
