I am going to become the joker
I am going to become the joker
Is there a good way from the outside looking in to estimate NIL budgets just from other factors? Cause I also don't believe it, but I kinda wonder if NIL budgets are going to turn into message board "heard from a guy who heard...." conspiracies ala bagmen without a neutral formula to estimate.
I can speak more freely here than on Twitter, right? The “consensus” about CFB payrolls this yr is bullshit. Nobody had a 50 mil roster. Nobody had a 40 mil roster. I’d estimate less than 5 are spending above 30. 20M will be a very competitive payroll this season. You can make the CFP with less
Moneyball but only because of misinformation from media personalities
What does top tier of the g5 look like?
Any idea what the distribution within power 5 looks like? Is it like a pyramid with about 5 at 30, 10 or so at 20, 20 somewhere below that?
The number is going to creep higher and higher in public because coaches either are trying to leverage public panic into more resources for themselves, create an excuse for why they stink, or believe anything anybody tells them. Fans don’t have to be that stupid.
OH YES WE DO!
As a PSU fan, I'd guess they're probably in the 15 - 20 mil range, but still might end up being closer to the lower end of that, even with all the guys they had come back.
Star wise, Alabama has the most talented team in the country
How long do you think it will be before these payments start to look like longer term contracts with future money committed?
Even if bama only spent $20 mil, any rating system has them as a top 3 team & most as 1-2 team talent. Most importantly the games the games they’ve lost since last season aren’t vs the Ohio States, Texas, or Oregons. Bama had as much or more money on their roster as FSU, Oklahoma, AND VANDY…VANDY!!!
Bama has a top 5 recruiting class
I am too NIL poor to become the joker.
