This is what constantly hobbles me. I don't want to make something that sucks, mainly because I don't want you guys to think less of me.

For what it's worth, I don't really ever think less of someone who makes something that sucks if they do it earnestly and with a spirit to learn. I'd rather see someone swing for the fences at making something uniquely theirs and whiff than play it so safe they make something anyone could have made.
