OTD in 1939 the Molotov Ribbentrop pact was signed. It remains one of the very few treaties we have honored.

Haha he was jubilant. He was actually smoking a cigar in the picture. Hitler demanded it removed before releasing it. He was also drinking and celebrating with the rest of the guys in the picture. But he had enough smarts to demand that all the alcohol be removed before they took the picture
