For those arguing NDSU (and) SDSU should just go to the C-USA: True contenders need challenges. The xDSUs literally (mean that) play tougher teams in the MVFC and playoffs than they’d play in the C-USA. Sure, more potential FBS OOC games. But top P4s tend to avoid good G6s 🙃
Agree completely. It doesn't make financial sense to upgrade their stadiums plus pay an additional $5 million (?) + conference exit fees to play in C-USA. Even the MWC as it is now wouldn't be that big of an upgrade.
Do 85+% of FCS teams qualify as "challenges" to the top 4-5 FCS teams? There's another 10% that can maybe catch lightning in a bottle. Correct, the top of the MVFC is better than the CUSA. However, take out the top three or four teams and the MVFC gets pretty pedestrian pretty quickly.
