I grew up in the late 60s, early 70s (college years ‘71-‘75) and I loved the U.S. I volunteered, I protested Vietnam, & I felt good about our country. Today, I’m ready to renounce my citizenship and find a home overseas for my last 15-20 yrs. DJT has made me hate, & I don’t like that.

I too am a child of the 60s, 70s. MY dad served in the Army for 25 years and so we were raised to love our country. This is not the country we grew up with. I can tell you that I have to work hard every day to control on my anger over what the USA has become. So, I understand how you feel.

If Trump and MAGA Inc create a disdain and fear of our US military by our citizens that is a damage that will be hard to recover from. Not to mention severely hurting recruitment. Trump ruins everything he touches and now may ruin the bond citizens have with their military.

The military will lose respect from citizens, if they bow to him. Using one’s own military usurping local law will end poorly. And yes, it will hurt recruitment.

We are in a senior group that stands on corners once a month. I boycott Target, Home Depot & many company’s products. I will not patronise MAGAT establishments. It’s hard not to shop where a billionaire benefits, but I try. I’ve been sewing my own clothes too.

I’m fighting for sure. I belong to a senior group that sends a lot of letters to Congress and sits on street corners once a month. And I’m old and arthritic.

I travel full time and tell people I'm from Sweden so I don't have to talk about American politics.

I say I’m from Canada. 🇨🇦 I’m afraid for my safety sometimes.

When I was younger and did an exchange program in China, I told everyone I was Canadian. GWB and the Iraq War were very not popular.

I’m as involved as I can be at 71. We seniors stand on corners once a month. We send letters to Congress and pass out flyers. We fly an upside down flag. We pay for everything ourselves. We’re attempting to give out latest ICE info/locations. I feel about as good as I can, which is disgusted.

I guess what I meant is, I’m beginning to lose loyalty to my own country. Watching them destroy everything we worked for decades to gain, how does one even begin to have respect for that! We seniors are about to lose everything & I’m losing it—-I just wanted a peaceful retirement w/ grandkids.

We’ve started bringing supplies to a veteran group, and my neighbour & I drop off goodies at the local assisted care place. We just want those that can’t help themselves know there’s a few that do care. Not much of a resistance, per se, but helping others has always been my thing.

People in the resistance are all the more patriotic because they still believe in the Constitution. Hang in there.

I’ve lived here my entire life. The flags on my profile are my ancestors. I’m proud of my heritage, which is not a bad thing. I’ve voted in every election since I turned 18 in 1971.
