I live in DC, right at the Columbia Heights Metro, where ICE has made a habit of showing up in force to nab moped drivers, vendors, and people just using the metro. When you call what we're going through "a distraction" you're saying you don't value our humanity as much as an imaginary white swing.

I was in the Philly suburbs for the final 40 days of the campaign organizing GOTV. Even though Dems are gutless, we need to beat the Nazis. the whole campaign was based on white people in the burbs. The campaign did 0 voter registration in Philly or on colleges. Poor areas were understaffed

I don't think it's ALL we have. We have resistance on the ground. We have decentralized communication networks and planning groups. We have a lot of people, highly motivated, pushing back. What we need is to maintain perspective, hold onto hope, and hold onto each other.
The part that drives me up the wall, that I have no idea how to effectively address, is that we don't have the DNC in this fight, and we NEED effective political resistance for the midterms if we're to stop this insanity.
The DNC may not be organized and out there holding rallies, but we do have individual governors and Congress members. The best thing the DNC can do right now is make certain that in every race possible they have a Dem candidate running, even in areas previously thought to be deep red.
