Oh my mom did the Covid thing too! Honestly, it's been an entire lifetime of her hiding/not mentioning illnesses, like one of those ungulates who hides lameness because they're afraid the herd will abandon them. I can't work up the energy to be mad anymore.
The only reason I knew my mom was in the hospital at the end was because my siblings violated the rule and told me. (she didn't like me knowing because she thought I was judging her. When I was only concerned.) It is a rule I am changing about my own medical needs.
