every metaphor for racism is going to be bad. as long as they're not equating being a minority to having dangerous powers or saying a lynch mob can be stopped with basketball tricks (yes a novel did this) I don't mind the imprecision of most metaphors.

i just mean that i don't think any attempt at doing race as a metaphor is going to work well due to the complexities of life and (relative) simplistic nature of fiction, especially fiction seeking to appeal to a broad audience.
You can either contextualize propaganda or redefine it, and I believe pretty firmly that contextualizing it is the only one that makes sense. Here, the context is, Judy Hopps does not save the day by being shitty to people. That is not the aspect of the job being glorified. That does mean something
