I’ve sat in premium seats before at Nationals Park. There is a restaurant inside with premium food and drinks. The seats are probably sold but if you are wealthy enough to afford them, you probably don’t attend every game and spend lots of time inside.

Yes I understand how it works. I said fill not sell. You’re selling seats to people who either can’t be bothered to show up or when they do show up they don’t actually watch the game. It’s a bad look. But that’s what you get when you cater to people with money instead of baseball fans.

During the game they should allow others to sit there when not accupied.

The Twins did this same thing in Target Field, and the look is pathetic. A bunch of wide, padded, and empty premium seats. And that was BEFORE the team trade 40% of the rostered players.

They cost $250 apiece and that’s on game day when they are being unloaded. When a team is struggling no one is paying those prices for those seats.
