I can’t believe this cat…I’m hoping they make me pay a fine so I’m more careful about keeping the library’s books away from his sharp little fangs. It’s my fault!
Oh Raphi! What big teeth you have! 🐅
“I’m such a big boy I can eat books!” I love this painting!
Me too…I think it captures most kitty personalities purr-fectly. Raphi’s most definitely. 😹
Yep, it’s Fritz to a T. I’m not sure he dreams of the jungle but he definitely thinks he’s in charge of the house and me.
Fritz is right. And things are just as they should be. You’re in good paws. 🦁 🏡 (😘)
Guess I’ll give this one a pass. I was intrigued by the subject of the Cuban Revolution but your review gives me pause. Too many better books to read! 📚📚
It may just be me…I did learn a lot about Cuba that I didn’t know and really liked that aspect. I’m just so averse to things even remotely political these days. You might want to give it a try - honestly, my mood may have tainted it unfairly.
Went to Amazon, read a sample & decided no. So it’s not just you but may be just me. 😀 I got burned out long ago on a certain kind of book club read: family drama, family pain, forbidden/lost/conflicted love, set with a colorful backdrop of history which may not be particularly factual. Not for me.😬
The author’s bio is pretty impressive, which leaned me into thinking historical parts were likely close to factual. In any case, I do feel like I got something worthwhile out of it about Cuba, but the writing and obligatory current day conflicted love thing didn’t resonate with me at all. Onward! 📚
