I agree. What doesn’t make sense is they are educated people. They do live in a southern red state which is part of it. I left after HS. I always knew I was different & cringed at every racist remark I heard. My mom wasn’t racist so we were raised right. But everyone around us def were. It’s sad.

I see it at work. Some people can be educated and intelligent but totally ignorant when it comes to politics or government. One girl made a comment that it’s good they are rounding up all the criminal immigrants. I said yeah, we don’t need no food. Fuck a bunch of food. Then I laughed.

I was debating about what’s going on with a very successful 40 yr old guy who is barely a friend these days. After he was contrarian to everything I said he admitted “I don’t read the news. I don’t really know what’s going on.” I wanted to scream.

Men like that always do. I read an interesting book a while back called “The Confidence Code”. By Katty Kay & Claire Shipmen. It talks about why men have overblown confidence. Ex: Men will apply for a job with little experience while women won’t apply if they aren’t experienced in every aspect.

I’m 20 yrs his senior and he respects me i know that. he does ask me questions. But one night he was interrupting me to the point that I put my finger to my lips and said “Shush!” 😆 Like a school marm! But he was loud and talking over me so yeah doubt he’d do that if I had balls.
