Like the word "grok" derived from a Heinlein novel (also a notable authoritarian sympathizer) Musk is trying to earn street nerd cred by showing his "deep cuts" a la Thiels' "Palantir", "Mithril Capital Management", "Valar Ventures", and "Erebor Bank". He just ends up looking like a dork.
Like, we get it, we all played Castle Wolfenstein. Ellen wants to be worshipped by nerds, and he wants to be the "Cool" Nerd. However, telling everyone your cool, is the most uncool thing to do. Also, he is constantly and consistently on the wrong side of history.
