A team that was serious about making the playoffs rather than trying to preserve theoretical wins in 2027 would've had Chase Burns in their bullpen. I'm not sure about Lowder though. His situation has been weird.

With the Collective Bargaining Agreement expiring at the end of the 2026 season, there's a good probability that there won't be a 2027 season.
