anytime I tried to leave he would make up posts, fake up stories and more about how I'm cheating, I'm doing x y z and more. He would purposely sabotage job opportunities or get me fired to try to make me financially depend on him. Being a woman in the gaming field is fun!
it was fun having thousands of people call me a cheater on faked up posts and chat logs, having no way to defend myself and sitting in silence while I was being /literally abused as well/. it took courage to finally leave and be literally homeless for awhile till i got back up on my feet.
my therapist said I'm 'under extreme ptsd' and I've even told leads at current jobs that I cannot handle men yelling or being angry, it is literally a trigger. I used to love thunderstorms but loud sounds scare me now
Always thought I could just silently get over it. When his ex-wife told me about the court sentencing I knew I could finally speak my own truth and not feel so scared all the time about the what-ifs.
I am in a lot of pain today, but I will be ok.
I remember that period of time very well. I’m so sorry you had to go through that all these years later 🤍
