🧵 1/New data from Carbon Monitor shows that in the first half of 2025, China’s emissions went down 2.7 percent. Coal use fell, solar capacity exploded — with 92 gigawatts installed in a single month. That’s almost as much solar as the U.S. has built in its entire history.
