Does anyone remember synergy, originally for Linux, the little application that allowed you to share a keyboard and mouse over the network? It still exists but good grief, it's as corporatively shit as it could be now. Are there any alternatives? I want to remotely control a Windows laptop.
I searched it out again, to control a Mac from Linux. Synergy 3 seems better than Synergy 1 was. Can’t speak about Windows, but I have no complaints. It’s better than ever. Related: I haven’t found a good VNC app to access a Mac from Linux. Any suggestions?
I don't tend to use VNC from my Linux machines but the last time I did I think I used RealVNC. Is it no good these days?
Remmina is the best that I’ve found, but scrolling is broken. RealVNC is commercial, so I didn’t try it.
It's been a while since I used it. What about TightVNC/xtightvncviewer?
I think that I tried that one. I don’t remember why I rejected it.
