Guns aren't gonna be able to keep you safe from domestic policing escalation and martial law, they'll be used as a pretext for your prosecution. Power comes from not disengaging from the systems of self governance that made the U.S. possible in the first place.

I know my comment reads as a reprimand to wanting to arm oneself, so I should clarify, the right to bare arms is one element of that system. Laws alone don't protect, and when enforcement is used to create spectacle instead of serve the public trust then reform is mandatory.

Sure, but we should acknowledge that right up until the point where we start shooting at MAGA, having the guns makes life worse than not having them. The goal ultimately has to be 1) defeat fascism 2) Remove the guns
Exactly, and that faction has been relying on political agitators and chaos to push through their agenda. Fear and reactivity are strategic advantages for them, denying those advantages is going to slow their roll.
