I think the scariest part is our country has always been this way and there was a significant portion of pretty horrible people just waiting for permission.

I know several people who I thought were kind, polite people who the day after the election started spewing some super bigoted shit against immigrants and LGBT people saying “woke is over, we can say this now”. They took it as a chance to let their true selves come out.

This bothers me very much. I live with mostly MAGAS. They are not upset at all…. Because they are not targeting wealthy donors in the south….
