Not intending to insult anyone here. All these people saying China wants their information for some nefarious plot. For what? To steal your identity in China? To sell your individual information to someone else? It’s our government that did that. Its done.

I think the scariest part is our country has always been this way and there was a significant portion of pretty horrible people just waiting for permission.
I keep thinking back to John Stewart on Monday explaining that MAGA extremists are not against war with Iran on principle. Folks are making the false assumption they suddenly grew a conscience. They want the military home for the civil war they are provoking. THEY WANT DEMs TO SHOW UP WITH FORCE.

Couldn’t agree more. Rick Steves reminds me that traveling is the best investment I can make. I bring my daughter along when I travel because I want her to see beyond the US. When I was up late nights with her as an infant, I watched Rick Steves Europe episodes until she fell back to sleep.

Interesting read but I have to be a little suspicious of the timing of the release of your findings. It’s worth the public awareness, but coming at a time that RFK, Jr. and MAGA conspiracy theorists are trying to sow doubt of the healthcare sector in the American public. Just gives me pause.

Yeah, it’s really difficult to take off work but I would be protesting every day if I could. I’m glad they’re planning for holidays and hopefully more weekends.

I wanted to see Omaha have a more visible protest in the heart of the city but it ended up more like a picnic. The point is not to be annoyingly critical of anti-Trump efforts but rather that half our city is not seeing the protests on their news so we need to be in their way on our streets.

Fascist governments can only control the media when the media itself is complicit by trying to appease the government.
We won’t have resources for kids with special needs without the DoE. Wealth will buy you treatment, access and anonymity. Socioeconomic disparities will grow and they are counting on this making people with disabilities look more like a burden on the system.
Stigmatization leads to less people reporting but not necessarily less people seeking care. It just means that Autism is going to get rebranded (misdiagnosed) as anxiety with ADHD, etc. and treatment will be misdirected. We will have more kids on unnecessary meds just to stay in the classroom…
