They should absolutely try this on the Epstein files and if it works, expand the scope to all the illegal things the Administration is doing. Demand DHS and State records on the deportations, demand Vought's records. Get as much on the record as possible.
Sure, try everything, but keep expectations low. A few possible outcomes: 1. Admin ignores, nothing happens. 2. Admin ignores, a federal judge orders compliance, Supremes take five minutes to overrule 3. Supremes somehow don't overrule; R's spend a day repealing the law.

That's their role. If you're hoping for some anarchy, it's not going to be the Senate Democrats to start it up. Thats a good thing because returning to a system that follows the rule of law requires people who are committed to it.

I think the more people see those in positions of influence like Senators trying in the face of uncertainty, the more likely they'll get popular support to lead to success.
