No, they are NOT a threat in the comparison you make here. What progressives are doing is also a different kind of threat. The danger here is they are distorting the democratic solution so that America remains in a constant state of extremes.

They are not democrats yet they are using the party to push their agenda which I understand is different from “socialism’ but never-the-less is “socialist oriented.”

If we give in to their rhetoric of demonization of democrats (just like #MAGA demonizes democrats) & take us in the socialist direction, we are stuck in extremism & not Balance. We could spend centuries more going back & forth from one extreme to the other like we have for the last sixty years.

This would make Putin very happy! As I see it, progressives need to join the @democrats.org to restore balance & liberal Democracy or they need to FOUND THEIR OWN “Socialist” LEANING PARTY & STOP DEMONIZING DEMOCRATS SO WE CAN CONTINUE OUR WORK TRYING TO RESTORE LIBERAL DEMOCRACY!
