I’ve gone places as an ambulatory wheelchair user - not protests, so your mileage and locale may def vary - but I was so worried, and ended up treated with lots of kindness and understanding!! Navigating an unfamiliar place w/ a wheelchair is a big reason why I use a cane day to day though.
