Two things can be true: the Democrats need to better focus on jobs, cost of living, etc, AND Trump appealed to men via racism and misogyny. Question: if Kamala Harris was a male would the Dems have won the election? I think yes.

Of course two things can be true. Of course Trump won on misogyny AND working class jobs. My point is that Dems need to appeal to working class men on jobs. And no, I disagree that Harris would have won as a man. Lost by less, yes, but not won. Dems have a big problem. Read all the data.

I’m one of those people that cue’d up re: the jobs Biden created through the IRA. Your words: “Democrats need to genuinely appeal to working class men - through jobs. Period.” They did that but still lost. I agree that the Dems need to focus on the working class (as Mamdani is). 1/2

1. Also, I agree that Mamdani is appealing to the working class, but I don't believe he will appeal to the broader working class - namely the ones who voted for Trump. In any event, I don't really agree his ideas will help them, though neither would Cuomo's. It is Biden's ideas that would work.

2. The old feeb had it right, and Dems need to steadfastly embrace his solutions. So often I hear Dems need to be more like MAGA, which for the most part I find to be a dreadful (and stupid) idea. But, one thing they do is stick to their guns (so to speak). Dems need to do the same.

I explained why they still lost. My very point is that they need to continue despite that loss. You allow me to bring up another point: Dems are so afraid of their own shadows they sometimes do not remain steadfast on something important when they lose. They need to remain steadfast on this.
