Lazyweb, are there examples of games that work together in a larger ecosystem? LIke Animal Crossing but the amount of butterflies was determined by where you went in Pokémon GO I heard that Blaseball had some meta social participation stuff, which is interesting if tangential.

Speaking of Animal Crossing, iOS apps like NookLink tiptoe in this. Character skins unlocked by hardware purchases are kind of a lame version of this. Very much thinking about casual, mindless play to make semi-offline progress in an complex game
