I have no perfect answers but see actionable trends. www.theviolenceproject.org/key-findings/ Maybe we start holding enablers to account for access to guns. Maybe we provide better healthcare and mental services. No one strategy will fix it. We have serious social issues. Gun violence is a symptom.
The thing is the government doesn't want to make mass shootings terrorism. The guy that went on that stabbing spree in Michigan is getting charged with terrorism. But mass shooters.. no
It's definitely terrorism and needs to be pursued as such. Shooters often seek soft targets with the intent to cause fear. Luigi did murder IMHO. The guy in MN did terrorism. Many shooters are known to their local community as unhinged. Enforcement of existing laws would help a lot.
This is sad and heartbreaking. I listen to the scanner when I'm not working. I listened to the response and it was rough. Note the shooter faced charges one year ago. The system failed these officers. Red flags are too common with events like this. www.ksl.com/article/5136...
