it's ok, he openly crowd sourced his jokes back then, it was in large part why he was ever funny.

I wish I knew the source, it was an anecdote my fiance told me about how Scott Adams felt having other people email him jokes to use in his comic strips was a 'hack' that made him a very clever boy and bragged about it publicly (somewhere).
