sadly peoples lack of understanding about socialism made this surprising to people. There are two kinds of parties - reformists (greens, ALP, Liberal) who think they can create change when capitalists hold all real power (see K Rudd), and revolutionaries who can help working class.

Following up again - can you please confirm with me which countries have working class in control of the means of production, which would align with my values. I do not adhere to genocidal capitalists controlling countries politics like Australia (see Gina and Clive replacing Rudd with Gillard).

I think your issue is that you are mistaking bureaucratic capitalism (Mao, Stalin, Madura) with socialism. but they are completely different! If workers fought for their rights under Mao Stalin Maduro they would be executed. Not socialism at all, sadly. Once again - socialism = workers control MoP

Before you criticise a country for being socialist, ask yourself, do the working class control the means of production? if the answer is no, like Venezuela, that means it is not a socialist country.If it is not socialist, that means it is capitalist. This is a common misconception-socialism is about working class controlling means of production.Maduro's Venezuela is bureaucratic dictatorial capitalism. that is where a dictator and their bureaucracy controls means of production. this is similar to Cuba, USSR, Mao China, which were also capitalist
