Obama and all Dems didn't support gay marriage until 70% of the public supported it. The gay community worked on that for generations. Did gay people stop supporting Dem party? No. They kept fighting to change minds. The other party was far worse. Its not all going to happen in a day.

But aren't two of those four Greens MPs transphobic? I am not being funny but asking seriously as I've seen UK Green members on here quite upset about Ramsay and Chowns views on trans issues.
It’s a fair point; Ramsay said things that indicated that transphobes would be tolerated in the party and failed to clarify or retract, and Chowns as his running mate has declined to contradict. So it crap but at the lower end of this nonsense, and why I voted for Zack.

MPs associated with “Your Party” have directly called for segregation of trans people and the removal of LGBTQ+ education from schools. One Green MP has said that if people in the Green Party expressed similar views then they would not be removed. Neither is good, but one is worse.
This is why you in UK so lucky. You can just start a new party. In the US we basically only have 2 parties. Always voting for lessor of 2 evils, my entire life.
We’re still the least democratic country in Europe. The only other European country to use first past the post is Belarus, and they have a few more problems on top.

If, as I would expect, Ramsay and Chowns lose badly, I’d hope these two MPs recognise that their position is not one that will be tolerated by members.
As a side note, Ramsay is such a disaster as co-leader that only 9% of *green voters* know who he is.
Oh yeah, that's pretty bad! I'm in Aus (used to live in UK) so still interested in UK politics and Ramsay seems like some of the bland centrist Greens MPs we get here. He seems like maybe he got lost on the way to a Lib Dems meeting! Polanski is a lot more interesting and energising
