I once had the Velcro of a wrist one actually release while at the dentist. I've always had severe dental anxiety, and at the time a broken tooth that they weren't listening to me about.

Two or three visits later (three months), when I was in for the end of my quad cleaning, the hygienist finally noticed because a formerly loose chunk that had been attached to nerve had finally gone. "This wasn't broken like this before." "Yes, it was. It's why I haven't had solid food in 3 months"
