Humans have *always* valued scarce things the last thousands of years. Sea shells, beads, jewellery, bits of gold, huuuge stones (Rai stones) www.bbc.com/travel/artic... It makes perfect sense that 'digital scarce things' would also get value attributed 🙂.

It may help to consider that hard assets like gold and bitcoin aren’t going up so much as the dollar is going down, though debasement, ie money printing. Capital is flowing into hard assets because investors expect the printing to continue.

The USD has been losing value pretty fast under Trump. I took a look at charts of USD/EUR and it looks like the USD has lost over 10% against the Euro, starting almost exactly when Trump took office. BTC and gold have a fixed supply. Trump can print dollars out of thin air.
