i disagree with most things Yann says, but participating in billionaire hunger games is not the path to happiness, he’s right about that

I mean, I’ll give him credit for being willing to stick to his own research program. Whether it pays off or not is a diff question, but chasing the direction that appears now to be plateauing doesn’t seem like a high probability bet, either.

I wonder how much is non-AI politics too. LeCun has been unwilling to get in line behind Zuckerberg's pro-Trump pivot, while Wang has been willing to do so.
