Who would do the latter? Who WOULDN’T. Republicans, foreign states, another Dem trying to keep their lane open long-term… Bluesky is a target-rich environment for this sort of campaigning because people here have already established they can be swayed into making choices by polarizing rhetoric.

I'm kind of convinced we literally just need smaller spaces. Doesn't matter the format, could look like forums or twitter or facebook or anything. All these problems are because a massive centralized platform is impossible to moderate well even if they wanted to (which many platforms don't)
Back in the day you could get banned for being an obnoxious fight-starting piece of shit. Now that's too difficult a call for the central admin team to make a million times an hour, and it's been shifted onto us to mute and block. So then they just make new accounts. IP bans are a thing of the past.
