No, he was being deported either way and rightly so.
No, he was being deported either way and rightly so.
He did not commit a crime and is not from Uganda. The Trump admin is selling him. That is what you are defending.
He committed spousal abuse and was involved in human trafficking.
He can't be deported to El Salvador, so we can deport him to another country.
Bot
Ok, you got me 🙄
What crime did he commit?
Spousal abuse, human trafficking.
He has been charged but not tried or found guilty. The Supreme Court has allowed convicted criminals to be deported to 3rd countries, not people accused of crimes. The spousal abuse order was rescinded by the complainant.
A conviction is not required to deport him & it doesn’t matter if the RO was retracted.
A criminal conviction is required to deport to a third country.
No, it's not. The only thing necessary is that his home country won't take him.
You don't need to commit crimes to be deported.
We are discussing 3rd country deportation
Yep. And it doesn't matter if he committed a crime or not. He has a final order of deportation, we can't send him to El Salvador, so that means we can deport him to a third country.
By the way Uganda has stipulated that it will not accept deportees with criminal records under its temporary agreement with the United States to receive third-country nationals. So Abrego Garcia therefore does not have a criminal record. QED
That’s fine, he’ll go somewhere else. He’s not staying here unless in a jail cell
Do you misunderstand the concept of due process? In order to be confined to a jail cell he would first have to be tried and convicted.
You’re confusing due process for someone who’s charged with a crime with deportation of illegal immigrants. They’re vastly different. If he’s being prosecuted for a crime he gets due process. They have already found legal grounds to deport him (he would Not face trial)
Tell that to everyone who’s in jail awaiting trial with no bail.
It is not a ‘final order’ of deportation. You seem inordinately pleased that this man will possibly be sent to Uganda - where he has never lived - unless he pleads guilty to alleged crimes based on a fact situation that is a physical impossibility. Ask yourself: is the DoJ just trying to save face?
I do not care where the man goes as long as it's not here. We have enough of our own crime to deal with, we don't need illegals who beat their wives & are gang members. He was never ever going to be allowed to stay, get over it.
He left El Salvador to escape gangs. He was accused of being a gang member by the Trump Administration. No proof of any of this. Believe what you want but this is why our constitution requires due process.
Wrongfully so
