I’m not here to sing the praises of nuclear weapons, but every non-nuclear country has learned the same lesson from Ukraine: 1. Get nukes 2. Keep nukes Nuclear nonproliferation as a security/national security policy is, for now, dead.

You are correct. Though the character limit disallows you to note other, better lessons to learn here. But a hyper-majority of humanity exhibits varying degrees of difficulty embracing reason. Including better lessons than your accurate (if incomplete) assessment.
What would be the title of your paper on the best lesson?
1/6 The second best compliment I have ever received is someone remarking, 'I can never tell what is going to come out of your mouth.' So, in that spirit:
2/6 I perused your social media feed before answering. And my cursory analysis suggests that it seems a fait accompli someone reposting Andy Borowitz - as you recently did - would excel at short humor in their own creative posts. You may have noticed I tapped the like button on several.
3/6 As Shakespeare instructed Polonius to declare in Hamlet, "Brevity is the soul of wit." If your wit was any more succinct, no one would even know you exist. Well done.....and under appreciated. Also, your posts remind that humor exists largely because we humans are so absurd.
4/6 Now to specifically answer your question.....almost. You are also to be applauded for even asking. Curiosity is a too rare marque of intellect. I know only *some* of the best lessons. Curiosity - such as yours - helps to discover ever better lessons and solutions.
5/6 Caring to even show up to discuss such an important topic - as you have - is another great lesson. My current understanding of *one* of the best lessons regarding the existence, use, and proliferation of nuclear weapons?
6/6 Mine is a relatively rational premise our largely irrational species, naturally, almost unanimously rejects. Often even derogating the nearly non-existent few social critics suggesting such a title: "It Seems Unethical For A Species Possessing Weapons Of Mass Destruction To Reproduce."
You have been very generous in your assessment of my posts. I’m new to social media and use it mostly for cathartic venting into the void. As for WMD nonproliferation, I wholeheartedly join you in your wish to live in that parallel universe in which ethics is a part of human nature.
7/6 You are doing this social media thing far better than I: With this many replies, I have just violated Polonius's wisdom so egregiously, it feels like I have stabbed the poor fellow again.
