A full sundog 😱 It’s not super rare but still, not something you see frequently, yet nobody seemed to be noticing it at all! It was up there for around four hours in the middle of the day although I was travelling for most of that. Absolutely glorious 😍 #sundog

Ice crystals in the moist atmosphere reflected by the sunlight.

I did not know about "sun dogs," which is sunlight passing through ice crystals. So, the Sun God has his celestial animals. Thus, the term "sun dogs." Thank you for your post. Now, I'll be looking for them. 🙂
