That’s a first in my sixty years on this planet - crocus blooming in August. I’d hazard a guess at Mother Nature being rather upset. #crocus

They have. We’ve had an unprecedented drought this year and most native wild plants are already dead, trees are stressed and have already dropped some leaves, even the public gardens are a mess because of hose pipe bans. It’s going to be a hard winter for bugs but the plants will recover in time 🌳💛

There’s an autumn looming variety, which this is, but it’s normal for this one to bloom in October. Some odd stuff going on lately
