disabled artists finding new ways and avenues to do art opened up to them being told "other (better) disabled people did art holding the paintbrush in their mouth, whats your excuse" i would still love something akin to a caseworker, like i had before i aged out of my assistance program

I sometimes see people bring up things like cheating in school, which is kind of egocentric to me, but also signs of a system that doesn't want to change. And I'm pro having students (to some measure) not having laptops and phones in school and learning to use technology gradually.

yeag this one is a hard convo (and i do genuinely mean hard! i really mean i DONT have a good solid answer either way) i definitely like that idea, part of me is just thinking of like personal experience, i was in special ed/mixed classes and had a laptop for writing as part of my IEP

but i do think learning to use these tools gradually and intentionally is probly a good move. im uncertain how easy that would be to actually IMPLEMENT in practice, and by the time u get to higher education the cats completely out of the bag, but in principle it makes sense to me at its most basic
