The mRNA Covid vaccine has been tested in a couple hundred countries, on billions (yes, with a 'B') people. It's by far one of the safest and best tested medical treatments out there. It's actually far safer than Tylenol, a.k.a. Paracetamol (generic name: acetaminophen).

They're all made the same way. The vaccine target is just adjusted to recognize a slightly different "spike" protein (because that's the part unique to Covid, and it evolves). The point is to train your immune system to recognize the newly-evolved version of Covid that is is actually spreading now.
It's the skydiving paradox -- people perceive skydiving to be a dangerous sport, but in reality people are way more likely to be injured (or killed) while driving to the airport than by skydiving. Similarly, your trip to the pharmacy to get vaccinated is more dangerous than the mRNA Covid vaccine.
