All my friends keep asking why so many National Guard are being sent out near Palm Springs. I'm not a deployment expert, but would put $$ on the fact that the AZ border is only 120 miles away. If you were aiming for a police state, you would want to lock it down from one end to the other.

We absolutely have elections during war. Neither the War of 1812 or the Civil War (or WW1, 2, etc) kept that from happening. Martial law will not stop elections (at least per the Constitution).
So flipping an election that came down to a razor-thin margin is always going to be easier. It's hard to tamper your way to a victory when exit polls say you lost by 15%. Also, it's easier to tamper with one election (President) than 470 separate elections, I would think. 2/

Not sure they are smart enough to have a "strategy". My guess would be $$$ - IF the Feds are actually paying them instead of CA residents. Palm Springs temp is 100 today vs. 74 in LA. Hard to even give away hotel rooms in summer, so there are likely lots of cheap rooms available.
There is also a Marine base in 29 Palms - so perhaps they are using some of their amenities? The orange felon is likely bigly mad there is no rump tower for them to stay where he can overcharge them at our expense!

I had from the beginning though why target California first? Then it occurred to me that if California is vanquished, then the other states would be scared into submission. All the more reason for all to stand up simultaneously, and back California.
The Marines have their largest base in Twentynine Palms which is near Palm Springs. A lot of equipment likely related to that base. I wouldn't be surprised if that's a staging ground.
Everything from 29 Palms going to LA would go down 62 and hit I-10 in North Palm Springs. I live in Yucca Valley. Haven't seen any movement through here but that doesn't mean it isn't happening.

They’re coming from Twentynine Palms base. It’s a large Marine base. National Guard and Marines, not in LA are being housed there. By the way, Twentynine Palms is closer to Palm Springs than Arizona. 29 Palms Marine base 7 hours from the AZ border that’s around 440 miles.

Industry info is available online. Imperial is known for agriculture. (The Central Valley isn't the only spot.) As you mentioned, there is nothing really to the south as far as infrastructure. They would have to base operations in, say, Indio, IMO, or camp out with scorpions.

Not saying we shouldn't be highly skeptical and aware of movements given recent events, but it's not abnormal for large movements like this to happen in the summertime months for the guard's Annual Training. I've seen huge convoys in Idaho when I used to live there.
I'm born and raised in Los Angeles. Have lived in Southern California my entire life. I know every inch of it and have never, ever seen large movements like this. Never. These are not summer AT drills. If they were, why are ICE vehicles following them, like in Mecca, Riverside, Santa Ana etc?

If they were going to "lock it down" they'd surround LA, LB, Santa Ana, the Valley. They'd rile up the cities. If they're in fact heading to Mexican border, they're just going back to what they were doing before--helping CBP control the border. CA is way too big geographically to control.

Agreed, hard to know. But in LA and other counties, where undocumented persons live /work is quite concentrated. Most undocumented folks can't afford to live in large parts of West LA, wealthy South Bay, South County, etc. The main issue is that they use cruel Gestapo type tactics causing fear.
I used to have a big bedding company and a 10,000 sq ft factory in downtown LA. All my workers I'm sure were undocumented. Didn't care. They were like family. Grew up with a father who had a massive plant in LA, too. It's the wheels of the city and what we all know.

I don't think AZ has much to do with it. But PS metro area is fairly contained, less than half a million people and surrounded by desert and mountains. If you want to carry out raids without so much pushback, that makes sense. And its 105 degrees right now, with 111 expected within a week.
