When listening to the outlandish daily Trump defenses offered by virtually every Republican, I once believed they knew they were being outlandish. Now I believe they believe that Trump's lying, excessive bragging, etc. is what is needed to win elections. Trump won twice, so they appear to be right!

I believe most of what is directed at one goal - to keep the lefties spun up and unable to think clearly or make smart decisions. I mean, the left is currently opposing the reduction of crime in DC and a chance for peace in Ukraine, among other things.
